Wish List Thursday

Here's for a theme I'll completely forget about next week....

I love photography. I love capturing the perfect picture. I love getting an emotion by the press of a button. I simply love love love the gadgets that help you accomplish all of it. I love having my Sony Alpha, it's a great camera that's accessories aren't as expensive as other brands. I don't have many complaints about my camera, just really one actually...well two. First off it's impossible to find a battery grip for it since they no longer make them for the Alpha A230. Second, not all camera stores sell accessories for my camera because it isn't Canon or Nikon. Lame if you ask me. So I just go to Amazon for my camera needs. My current camera wish list has about $3200 worth of accessories I want.

Opteka 650-2600mm
The box only says to 650-1300mm but the description says 650-2600mm. It's going for $300. Comes with the lens only.

Phoenix 650-130mm
This is going for $280 and comes with a cleaning kit and tripod. I already have one, but having another can never be a bad thing. It also comes with a carrying case, I'm trying to pick between this one and the one above.

Kenko 420-800mm
Lens alone, no sort of kit. $180

Phoenix 500mm
Comes with a cleaning kit and monopod. $130. Cheaper than the one above and comes with more. Neither come with a case. I'm leaning towards the 500mm.

Sony 75-300mm
Going for $250. Very sad considering how much I can get telephoto lenses for. But it's Sony brand so that explains.

Sony 50mm
Good macros and portraits from what others have posted. I love doing macros. Going for a measly $150.

Rokinon FE8M-S 8mm
I really really REALLY want a fisheye lens. Really. Going for a strange $272. The example pictures are awesome.

Opteka Super Wide Angle Panoramic Macro Fisheye
Going for $30, I love the pictures this can take. I love the price too.

55mm Wide Angle Lens
$15 can't beat that price. The example photos weren't that good, but I think it's because the photographer wasn't that good. Or maybe just poor choice of subject.

It's a frightening amount of money I want to spend, but I know I will get a lot of use out of the lenses I choose. If I remember next week, I'll post other accessories I'd love to have. Cheaper accessories :D

  1. You'll like the 50mm f1.8. I have one for my canon and it's so fun for photos with lots of bokeh. And it forces you to move for composition, which is neat.

  2. I've got a manual one with an adapter from my old Pentax. I can't wait to get a digital one.
