Wish List Friday (cause Thursdays weren't working)

With the possibility of selling our house and moving ahead of us I'm thinking about paint colors. So I headed over to myperfectcolor. I love some of the colors that are used in our current house, and others I've started second guessing. Well mostly just the green in my husband's office. Wanting some change but not much, I've found colors that aren't exact but pretty close. One house we are potentially looking at has an open floor plan. The kitchen, living room, dinning, and bonus room are all pretty open. So I'm thinking a combo of this Rain Lily and a few walls painted Red Pepper. Rain Lily is pretty close with the color of our current living room which I *love* and Red Pepper isn't exactly like the red in our current kitchen, but I love red and I love trying different shades of red.

We just repainted our bedroom and I love the color so we will just be using that color in our next bedroom. We'll still be going with the gamer/geek theme. I can't find the paint color online, but it's by Better Homes and Gardens. So instead I can provide a picture of my cluttered bedroom.

Porch Gray

Our potential house is a three bedroom, not sure what colors we are going to use. The smallest bedroom is wallpapered. I'm not a big fan of the wallpaper, but I might find another wallpaper to use. What's your thoughts on wallpapering. Nay, yay, outdated? We plan on hiding the litter box in there and other cat related stuff. That's also where Kyle can keep all his Lego stuff. Might take down the wallpaper and do some Lego decals or something like that. The second bedroom which is across from the master will be a guest room/future nursery. I'll be shoving all my Harry Potter stuff in there. I figure the rest of the house can look like grown ups live there, but the bedrooms can be geeky/young/childish. Not sure what color to paint the room. Might just leave three walls white and paint one porch gray. That way there can be color, but it won't be gender related and it can be Harry Potterish. I'm weird and hate white, except for in bathrooms. I love having a white bathroom, I normally add accent colors. Well really just the shower curtain, but still. Other than that I love white in the bathroom, it looks clean and fresh. Alright, well I leave it at that. Might do a landscaping wish list next time.

  1. We have a Harry Potter poster waiting to be hung in the TV room. I don't like white walls either--I"m a big fan of yellow.

  2. I love yellow, but I always choose the wrong yellow.
